AWS offers hundreds of EC2 choices. Sifting through them, one cannot but wonder if there is an easier way to find suitable VMs.
CloudAccel is releasing an interactive EC2 Pricing Comparison tool that understands your filters and helps you narrow the search down in seconds. To illustrate the usage, below are two scenarios.
Let’s say, you are looking for a Linux instance with 8 cores, 32GB memory and EBS storage, all that needs to be done is select the corresponding regions highlighted below. Matching results are shown in chart and also the table at the bottom
As a 2nd scenario, for a Windows instance with graphics/FPGA cards and 16 cores below will be the selections and corresponding results:
Tool lets you filter on additional attributes such as instance-family, amount of local storage, network performance, price/hour etc. More attributes will be added in future. You get to choose a VM on multiple attributes in a few short clicks.
What do you like in above tool? What more would you like to see? Please share, leave comments and feedback.
